Who operates the Index
The Babel Nexus Index is operated by Babel Nexus, LLC, a limited liability company registered in New York. Questions about this policy may be sent to nishanbstepak@babelnexus.com.
You do not need an account to browse or read the Index. Private administration tools use authenticated sessions and are not part of the public reading experience.
Information you choose to send
If you subscribe for updates or request a missing work, the email address and information you submit are stored in the Index database so we can fulfill that request. These forms are optional. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.
If you ask the Nexus Oracle a question, the question travels through our server to Google’s Gemini API so it can produce an answer. We do not retain a copy of the question. Please do not enter personal or sensitive information.
Analytics and cookies
The Index uses Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Grademypage Analytics to understand aggregate use, such as pages viewed, browser type, approximate region, and places where readers get stuck. The Index does not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
Google Analytics may set first-party _ga cookies only after you accept analytics cookies. Before a choice, or after you decline, it runs cookieless. Microsoft Clarity is configured without identifier storage. Grademypage uses no cookies; it keeps an anonymous counter in local storage.
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools verification tags prove control of this domain. The tags do not observe your visit.
Information kept on your device
Reading trails, bookmarks, recently visited galleries, interface preferences, and your analytics-cookie choice may be stored in your browser. This local information helps the site remember your place. Clearing site data resets it.
External services and links
The Buy Me a Coffee control loads third-party scripts and assets, which receive standard request metadata. Its greeting may use a one-day visited cookie. Donations, accounts, and payment details are handled by Buy Me a Coffee under its own policy.
Book and source links open independent repositories and retailers. Their privacy practices apply after you leave the Index.
Your choices
You can accept or decline Google Analytics cookies at any time on the Cookie Policy page. Withdrawing consent deletes _ga cookies that the Index can access. You may also clear local site data in your browser.
